After learning about automaticity and fluency in math,
students also need to be efficient in math concepts, math skills, and problem
solving. Educational applications can be used to help with teaching these math
concepts and skills. One website that can be used to teach these concepts and
skills is the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives. This website supports
the development of math concepts for students in grades K-12. There is a list
of subjects, such as number and operations, Algebra, and Geometry just to list
a few, that the website helps teach. Another educational application is Destination Math. This targets the development of skills in math reasoning, problem solving, and conceptual understanding for students in grades K-12. The use of animation keeps students engaged in their learning, and makes it fun to do. This is also available in Spanish for students who are English Language Learners.
