Welcome to My Journey...

The purpose of this blog is to reflect on my learning as I learn about assistive technology used in the classroom.  I am currently taking a course called, Assisted Learning/Technology. Throughout this course, I will be learning about different ways to incorporate technology into my lessons being taught to enhance learning for my students.

As technology is becoming more advanced, I have found that it is important as a teacher to learn new concepts. I have had limited interaction using technology thus far in my career as a teacher, but hope with my future knowledge I can incorporate technology more into my lessons.  Coming up with new and exciting lessons using technology will help keep my students engaged in their learning and broaden their resources to do so. Throughout this blog I will reflect on my learning of using assisted technology, and incorporate key concepts from my learning that can help teachers integrate technology into their lessons.

My goal is to use technology more in my lessons, so that my students will reach new levels in their learning. I love learning, and like Brad Henry has said, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” I want to be a “good teacher,” and spark a love and passion to learn in my students.
